The directors of the Huron Perth Association of REALTORS® (HPAR) are pleased to announce they have joined the Ontario Regional Technology and Information Systems Inc. (ORTIS). HPAR will be the ninth real estate association Member to join the ORTIS regional system.
“ORTIS provides our association with a complete MLS® System solution,” says Jeff McCulloch, HPAR President. “For HPAR we quickly realized the ORTIS model offered our members superior services while also providing our board the ability to participate as an equal partner, rather than a client.”
The ORTIS regional MLS® System was formed 2014 by the following neighbouring real estate associations; Brantford Real Estate Association, Cambridge Association of REALTORS®, Guelph & District Association of REALTORS®, Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS®, Niagara Association of REALTORS®, Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board, REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington and the Simcoe and District Real Estate Board.
“The purpose of ORTIS is quite simple,” notes George Patton, ORTIS Chair. “ORTIS was developed to provide REALTORS® with the best MLS® System and supporting technologies.”
Patton explains ORTIS’s unique value proposition this way: “We’ve leveraged the collective experience of all our partnering associations to provide a true regional system. The eight founding members of ORTIS went through a painstaking process of parsing down a discombobulated jumble of forms, rules and policies into a comprehensive set of standards that we could all live, and indeed, thrive with.”
McCulloch agrees, “REALTORS® who use the ORTIS system benefit from a high level of data integrity, security, and cooperation. By joining ORTIS, our board will be able to provide our members with even more services beyond just the MLS® system.”
HPAR is a not-for-profit trade association formed in 2001 by the amalgamation of the Huron and Perth County real estate boards. They enforce a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Practice to it’s 230 members to maintain the integrity of organized real estate; to promote interest in the marketing of real estate; and to promote, encourage and protect the ownership of real property to the public
ORTIS is a not-for-profit association formed in 2015 and provides a robust MLS® System to over 9,500 members from eight separate real estate boards.
